Packing for Camp

Take a camera to Barbee and send your pictures and videos to us so we can post them in our Galleries.

pen/pencils
writing paper
envelopes
stamps
shirts/blouses
shorts (fingertip length)
slacks
jeans (long pants for hiking/vespers)
comfortable walking shoes 
sweatshirt
sweater
light jacket
night wear
sheets (light cotton blanket, if desired)
sleeping bag or bedroll
pillow with case
laundry bag
swim suit and beach towel
rain gear
insect repellent (industrial strength!)
flashlight (extra batteries if desired)

Camp Barbee is a rustic, high-humidity environment where the weather and temperature can change quickly. 

Please bring the clothing and personal items that you would need to stay at Barbee for one to two days longer than your camp.

Any prescription medication will be given to the camp's First Aid Director upon your arrival. The prescription will be dispensed as directed and unused drugs will be returned to the camper or their parents at the end of camp.

If you need a fan for health reasons, please make prior arrangements with the camp manager by calling 574-834-4190.

Here's a tip: 
Look in last year's photo galleries to see what the campers are wearing. If you cannot wear it at school, please do not bring it to Camp Barbee.

Concerning Personal Items:
If you cannot take it to school, to church or to an airport, please do not bring it to Camp Barbee.
