Camp Barbee is located two miles south of North Webster, Indiana, on County Road 400 N. When traveling on State Highway 13, watch for the Barbee Christian Church Camp sign marking where to turn.

Barbee Christian Camp is owned and operated by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana. Once the fishing and hunting grounds for the Pottawatomie and Miami Indians, and later settled by Daniel Kuhn, the campground covers 120 acres. The camp opened in 1952. A great deal of love has gone into the development of this camping and retreat center. Originally used for summer Church Camps exclusively, the campground is now open all year.

The camp purpose is to promote Christian education and fellowship in an outdoor setting, reinforcing the faith statement we make when we claim God as Creator and Savior.

Barbee Christian Camp and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) offers summer camp sessions for youth up to senior high school. Sessions usually begin in mid-June and continue through mid-August. The emphasis is on Bible studies, worship and group-building activities including crafts, water sports, swimming, canoeing, nature walks and recreational activities for large groups. All young people are welcome regardless of race, gender, or religious affiliation. Most local Disciples Churches or the Region of Indiana have funds available for campers with special financial needs. Several hiking trails are marked for use in the wooded areas which are State Wildlife areas.

There are two buildings available for retreats. The "Big House" is an original residence that was already constructed on the property when the camp was purchased in the early 1950's. Accommodating up to thirty people, it has a basement game room, kitchen, living room with large fireplace, dining room and bath-and-a-half on the first floor. Five bedrooms and a full bath comprise the second floor. The bedrooms are furnished with bunk beds. Cooking utensils, pans and dishtowels, dishes, silverware, etc. are provided. You will need to bring any specialty utensils as required.

The other retreat facility is a fully winterized cinder block dormitory style building. It has a kitchenette with pans, utensils, and table service for twenty people. Two wings are furnished with five bunk beds each. There is also a small central meeting area.

The camp has five cinder block dormitory cabins which sleep 24 people per building and has shower/toilet facilities. The dining hall seats approximately one-hundred people and is furnished with tables and folding chairs. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and heating/air conditioning is available. There is an Activities Building, an Auditorium Barn, and a restroom/shower building. Barbee also has tennis courts, a baseball diamond with backstop, sand volleyball on the beach, and basketball courts. Swimming, fishing, boating and canoeing are available on Kuhn Lake, accessible by the Barbee dock.

Each building may be rented individually, or the entire campground may be rented in its entirety.
